³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Chief Medical Officer, Professor Peter Friend, Elected as Vice President of Royal College of Surgeons of England
Oxford, United Kingdom, 12 May 2023: ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Ltd (“³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø” or the “Company”), a world-leading medical technology company committed to making every donated organ count with metra®, a fully automated normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) device for liver transplantation, today announces that Chief Medical Officer, Professor Peter Friend, has been elected as Vice President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Professor Friend, a consultant in transplant and hepatobiliary surgery, will begin his three-year term and join the Royal College of Surgeon's group of Officers in July 2023. As of July, the Officers will be made up of President, Mr Tim Mitchell; Senior Vice President, Professor Fiona Myint; Vice President, Professor Peter Friend; and Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Dr Charlotte Eckhardt.
On his appointment, Professor Peter Friend said, "I am very honoured to be elected to this role and am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that it brings".
